FAQs

When did you start drawing?

I've drawn for as long as I can remember, but I really started concentrating on building the skill set when I entered the seventh grade. Art saved my life by getting me transferred from shop class where I was being bullied. (Power tools + latent hostility = life-threatening situation)

What are your favorite things to draw?

I actually prefer drawing original characters (OCs) from storylines I've produced over the years, but if I draw a remake of a character from an established series I must really like that character (eg. Chromia and Black-Arachnia from the Transformers universe). Additionally, I have a thing for drawings that are somewhat technical, like machines and mechs and cyborgs (which I attribute to my engineering background).

Do you take commissions?

I'm warming up to the idea, but due to my day job I probably won't be able to take anything major until late May or early June. If my window for taking commissions opens sooner than that, I will make an announcement on the front page of the website and over on my deviantArt page.

What do you use to make your website?

Primarily Notepad so I can directly tweak code and Photoshop CS5 so I can be sure of graphical accuracy. I've also broken down and gotten Visual LightBox to help out with the slideshows because I'm not overly comfortable with the Lightbox code injected into my webpages. Don't get me wrong, it's great stuff, but my decision is more of a personal preference to have customization take less than twelve hours.

How often will you update your site?

That usually is the proverbial "$64 million question", isn't it? Unfortunately, the best answer I can give to that is: Whenever I have time to sit down and review the coding. From the perspective of anyone with a full-time day job and tossed to and fro by life's responsibilities, this is a very limited space of time. But I do promise that I will do my best to update as often as possible, preferably once a month (on a weekend) if nothing else.

Why don't you have a FaceBook/MySpace/IMVU/other social network account?

Okay, I knew this would come up at some point. It isn't that I don't want one (in most cases, anyway), but if you get a job teaching, then the district you work in has the right to regularly visit your account. I'm sure many of you have seen news reports about people losing their jobs due to random pictures on FaceBook; well, that's the situation in all of the school areas here as well. Long story short: My choice to not have any of these is out of job preservation.

When are you going to start back on Entropy? We miss it.

Truth be told, I miss Entropy, too. Unfortunately, I don't quite have enough time at present to bang out the panels. I honestly have no less than four scripts for upcoming pages in the series, but I currently lack the time and energy to tackle it. There might be one page out during Thanksgiving Break, but other than that I cannot forsee any Entropy output in a timely fashion. Sorry. ):
